SISAC Track and Field

Our SISAC Track and Field team made up of 23 brave students in Grades 9 through 12 finished their season on Saturday, April 9th at the city Championships.  This season they competed in one practice meet hosted at SAS Puxi and one in-house meet held at SSIS.  They athletes trained two times a week in preparation for the big competition.


Of the 23 students, more than 20 of them achieved a personal best record in one or more of their events.  Jodie Tin of Grade 10, won a gold medal in girls shotput with a throwing distance of 8.69m!!

Jodie Tin, Gr 10 – 8.69meters throw in shot put GOLD MEDAL
Krystal Teo, Gr 11  – 4.50 meters jump in long jump 8th place
Reiji Arikawa, Gr 10 –  11.98 seconds race 100m 6th place
Tom Lee, Gr 11 – 5.57metres jump in long jump 7th place
Tiger Leung, Gr 12 – 10.94metres throw in shot put 4th place
Benjamin Chin, Gr 11 – 25.49metres throw in discus 8th place
Derrick Johny, Gr 9 – 1.04 minute race in 400m
Joshua Whitley,. Gr 11 –  2.19minute race in 800m
Boys 4 x 100m Relay team 47.47seconds 4th place

**Overall women’s ranking SSIS finished 4th place
**Overall men’s ranking SSIS finished 5th place
